Team Amma smashed its fundraising target for this year's Great Scottish Run, raising over £1200 to support refugee and asylum seeking women facing pregnancy and birth alone.
On Sunday, 29 September, seven dedicated volunteers—each with varying level of running experience—took part in the Great Scottish Run. Together, they completed the 10 kilometre course and raised vital funds in support of Amma.
In total, Team Amma raised an incredible £1260 in donations—nearly doubling our fundraising target.
These funds will be used to provide trained, nurturing birth companions to vulnerable mothers in Glasgow.
Thank you to everyone who took part, and also to everyone who made a donation—your support will truly make a difference to the lives of refugee and asylum seeking mothers across Glasgow.
There are many ways to support our work. Find out how to get involved.
